EVA Air To Launch New Kaohsiung - Osaka Route

EVA Air is adding daily flights between Kaohsiung in Southern Taiwan and Osaka, Japan, expanding its connections to Northeast Asia. The airline will launch the new route on February 5, 2015. Travelers can book flights and reserve seats now for non-stop service between Taiwan's second-largest city and Japan's Kansai region where not only Osaka but also Kyoto, Nara and other popular destinations are located by contacting a travel agent, an EVA ticket office or clicking on the airline' website at

EVA will operate a 184-seat Airbus 321-200 configured with 8 business and 176 economy-class seats on the route.

EVA launched regularly scheduled flights between Kaohsiung and Tokyo in 2013. The airline's successful development of that route led to addition of the Kaohsiung -- Osaka service. The new route will meet growing market demand and give both business and leisure passengers more flexibility and itinerary options. It will also save time and make travel significantly more convenient for those going to and from southern Taiwan.

EVA is working with travel agents to create tour packages for groups and independent travelers that will include the most popular tourist attractions in Kansai that, in addition to Kyoto and Nara, include Universal Studios Japan and more. Travelers can fly to Osaka from Kaohsiung and return on one of EVA's two daily Taipei flights or vice versa.

EVA flies to 10 gateways in Japan, including both Narita and Haneda airports in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Komatsu, Sendai, Sapporo, Asahikawa, Hakodate and Okinawa. The airline's routing within Asia is among the best in the airline industry. From gateways in Europe, Oceania and North America, passengers can make one stop in Taipei and easily connect onward to most major business and leisure destinations in Asia. Travelers can check schedules, book, buy and reserve seats through travel agents and brokers, by calling an EVA ticket office or via the airline's website.
