Vietjet Plans Routes Connecting Vietnam and China
|Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company ("Vietjet") has announced plans to launch direct flights connecting Vietnam and China.|
The announcement was made during an official visit to Beijing, China, by the Secretary General of Vietnam to celebrate 65 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The airline has approached the Ministry of Transport for both countries with plans to launch a series of maiden flights to China, connecting cities such as Nha Trang and Danang, in Vietnam with Hangzhou and Kunming in China.
"Demand for travel for business, family visits and reunions between Vietnam and China is growing all the time. To satisfy the needs from our passengers, Vietjet is ready to provide our leading aviation services on key international routes," said Mr. Desmond Lin, Business Development Director for Vietjet.
"Vietjet is also expanding its global partnerships. Besides aviation transport, we are also attracting partners to invest in infrastructure, airports, aircraft maintenance, training, component manufacturing, and the aerospace industry in Vietnam and the region," Mr Lin added.
Vietjet currently operates 150 flights per day with a fleet of 23 Airbus aircraft across 29 routes domestically and internationally. Boasting a new and modern fleet, Vietjet features fast and easy check-in, high quality onboard services and has recently partnered with Lotteria Vietnam to provide greater choices to its in-flight meal offering.
Vietjet has daily flights from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City where travelers can easily connect to other cities within Vietnam and across the region via the airline's extensive network of domestic and international flights. The airline has also announced plans to increase the frequency of its Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City route from 30 May 2015.
