Hertz Launches a New 'Travel Agent' Section on Its Website
|The Hertz Corporation launched a new section of its website dedicated to travel agents in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. The newly-added section can be accessed by clicking on "Travel Agents" from Hertz' homepage at hertz.com.|
"We wanted a place for travel agents that provided tools and information on Hertz products, services and promotions tailored specially for agents and their clients. Travel agents are extremely important to Hertz, the decision to create a dedicated section on hertz.com underscores our commitment to the travel agent community. Our goal was to incorporate all elements that provided everything with one easy click within one area of our site," said Frank Camacho, Staff Vice President, Marketing for Hertz.
The "Travel Agent" section features several functions aimed at providing agents with valuable and comprehensive information, including the ability to view Hertz' selection of vehicles, a detailed listing of Hertz locations around the globe, and of course, booking reservations that are fully commissionable.
The "Agent Updates" section provides valuable up to the minute information on special promotions for agents and their clients. Another convenient section is the "Sales Tools" area that includes Hertz' North America Travel Industry Sales Directory, which provides contact information should they need personal assistance from a Hertz sales representative. Also for added convenience, agents may now research the status of a commission. Finally, agents may now contact Hertz' Answerlink Desk via email and their inquiries will be quickly handled.
In order to access this section, travel agents must provide their IATA number. The site is available to agents in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Once an agent enters their IATA number, that number is then stored and used for all transactions during their visit to the site.
