HERTZ LAUNCHES ITS DIRECT LINK WITH ORACLE ETRAVEL
|Today, the Hertz Corporation announced its official launch of Oracle eTravel's eTLink. An industry first, eTLink allows corporations to purchase travel directly from the supplier without accessing the CRS database and network. Hertz is the first and only car rental company to offer corporate travelers and travel managers this innovative option when booking car rentals.|
"The advantage of forming this direct link with Oracle eTravel is to provide easier access for our customers to their specific corporate rate availability that have been tailored to their unique needs. Essentially, we're able to facilitate a more efficient way for booking car rental with the most accurate information," said Hertz Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Brian J. Kennedy.
The Oracle eTravel system is the only 100 percent web-based travel management solution in the marketplace providing direct links with travel suppliers.
"Since direct connectivity is a valuable resource for our customers, our utilization of eTLink is a necessary step. Our commitment to innovation in the car rental industry prompted us to recognize the importance of this booking capability for our corporate customers," continued Kennedy.
"eTLink allows corporations to realize significant cost savings," said Oracle eTravel Group Vice President, John Ackermann. "In addition to this partnership with Hertz, we are developing direct link partnerships with other suppliers that will give our customers an advanced solution to their travel management needs."
