El Questro Resort, Western Australia Scoops The Pool
|Last weekend at the 2000 Western Australian Tourism Awards, El Questro Wilderness Park scooped the pool and was for the third year in a row, the winner of the Unique Accommodation Award. El Questro also won the prestigious Sir David Brand Award for its outstanding contribution to Western Australian Tourism.|
As this is the third time El Questro has won these prestigious awards, the resort has now entered the Western Australian Tourism Hall of Fame.
The Awards were presented to Mr. Peter Grindley, general manager of El Questro at Burswood International Resort Casino on Friday 16 June 2000.
El Questro Wilderness Park has been a major drawcard for tourists to the Kimberley region since opening ten years ago. Covering a massive one million acres of spectacular wilderness park, El Questro has over 50,000 visitors each year, yet due to the size of the property thereís never a crowd! Four different holiday experiences are on offer, private camping sites, tented cabins at Emma Gorge, the El Questro Bungalows on the Pentecost River or the luxury of the magnificent Homestead with just six superb rooms for guests.
The resort is also a leader in eco tourism in the area.
