2007 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade
|The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced (30 January) that tickets for spectator seating at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza for the 2007 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade on 18 February 2007 have been sold out. The HKTB is extremely thrilled with the enthusiastic response from visitors and local residents. Those who are unable to purchase tickets will still be able to join this mega street party, as they can view the procession free of charge along the parade route.|
With colourful floats and spectacular performances and entertainments from local and international performing groups, this year's Parade is set to transform Tsim Sha Tsui into a dazzling street party. Visitors and residents are invited to enjoy the spectacle along the parade route. The best vantage points include both sides of Canton Road and the junction of Peking Road and Kowloon Park Drive.
To enable spectators to fully immerse themselves in the carnival atmosphere, the HKTB will set up two performing zones on Canton Road (outside Silvercord) and Kowloon Park Drive (at the junction of Kowloon Park Drive and Peking Road) respectively. As well as enhancing the sound and lighting effects along the entire parade route, the HKTB will install several large LED screens on Canton Road. To heat up the streets, more than 100 motivators will help distribute inflatable cheering sticks to spectators and motivate them to join in the action. So get ready to party and have one of the world's most unique experiences at the 2007 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade on 18 February.
