Wind Star To Depart Tahiti In 2005 "Sail And Save" Rates Now Available
|Windstar Cruises has announced that the msy Wind Star will leave Tahiti at the end of 2004 and begin sailing new itineraries in Costa Rica, the Panama Canal, the Mediterranean and the Greek Islands. Only 32 sailings remain in Tahiti. Travelers who have dreamed about experiencing Tahiti with Windstar, or those who have been putting off their trip of a lifetime, have multiple incentives to book now. As a fond farewell, all remaining Tahiti cruises are available at new "Sail and Save" rates with air-inclusive cruise fares to and from Papeete from 78 North American gateways. |
"With a three-ship fleet, it's important to change itineraries every few years to offer our guests new cruising destinations," says Tom Russell, vice president of marketing and sales for Windstar Cruises. "The Sail and Save rates we are offering make the remaining cruises in Tahiti even sweeter. I expect once word gets out that we are changing itineraries, bookings in Tahiti will go quickly."
Russell says the company's long-term plan includes a return to Tahiti. Windstar has had a ship based year-round in Tahiti for almost three years and for another ten years previously. The last sailing is a 10-day New Year's cruise departing Papeete on December 28.
Air-inclusive 7-day cruises start at $2,795 per person based on double occupancy. The luxurious 148-passenger Wind Star explores French Polynesia's paradisiacal ports-including Raiatea, Huahine, Bora Bora, and Moorea.
A romantic and exotic destination, Tahiti's lush islands and hidden coves are perfectly suited for exploration aboard a luxurious and intimate sailing ship-the msy Wind Star.
Guests can do as much or as little as they like aboard the Wind Star. Sun-drenched beaches offer a place to relax, swim and read a book. Snorkeling can be found around the coral reefs. PADI instructors offer scuba diving adventures for novice and experienced divers. Chaise lounges on deck provide the perfect place to catch a nap or watch the sun set.
Complimentary water sports are offered from an aft water sports platform. Guests can take advantage of the platform for swimming, snorkeling, water-skiing, kayaking, sailing, "banana boating," and windsurfing. Water sports coordinators help guests with activities and point out prime snorkeling spots.
Over 29 shore excursions especially designed for Windstar allow guests to explore the islands ashore. Whether it's discovering Polynesian history, feeding the sharks or parasailing, Windstar has arranged for the best excursions ashore for guests. With Windstar's "Romance Under Sail" program, guests can extend their romantic tour from the ship to the shore. A brochure that details all of the Tahiti shore excursions is available to guests, and includes a cupid logo for excursions that are especially romantic.
On all its cruises, Windstar offers optional trip cancellation protection that provides cash back when canceling for any reason prior to 24 hours before departure.
