Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Puxi Opens Its Doors

 Nestled in the cultural and entertainment center of Shanghai, Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Puxi has opened for business. The 456-room hotel is owned by Gain Year Development Real Estate Shanghai Co., Ltd. and operates under a long-term management agreement with Marriott International, headed by Robert Chiang as general manager and Alex Wu as director of marketing.

The hotel is offering an introductory rate at 1188 ++CNY per night for a premier room with one breakfast, complimentary high speed internet access and two bottles of a soft drink or beer from the minibar per day. The offer is valid through 31 December 2010. Nearby attractions include the famed Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, Jade Buddha Temple, Jing'an Temple, The Bund and People's Square.

"Courtyard is a brand that resonates very well here in Shanghai," said Mr. Chiang. "It provides great value to our in-house guests but at the same time brings to the neighborhood a modern, trendy and attractive venue where people can gather, enjoy and relax."
