Wyndham Hotel Group Expands Ramada Brand In New Zealand
|Wyndham Hotel Group today announced the continued expansion of its portfolio in New Zealand with the signing of a franchise agreement for the four-star Ramada Suites Auckland Federal Street, located in the heart of Auckland's central business district (CBD).|
The 42-apartment, boutique-style hotel is being developed by Robert Neil of New Zealand's The Safari Group. The NZD$12 million development is scheduled for completion in October 2015 and will offer a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments.
The franchise agreement furthers Wyndham Hotel Group's strategic efforts to grow the Ramada(r) brand throughout the South Pacific, including New Zealand. The company recently announced the addition of Ramada Suites Christchurch City to its portfolio of three properties in the country, which include locations in Paihia, Bay of Islands and Orewa. The Ramada brand's global portfolio consists of 840 properties in 60 countries.
Barry Robinson, Wyndham Hotel Group's president and managing director, South East Asia and Pacific Rim, said the new Ramada property will help fulfill the growing demand for new, quality-driven lodging in the area.
"The debut of the Ramada brand in Auckland is a vital step forward in addressing the demand for quality accommodations in the city's business hub," he said. "The brand's contemporary and comfortable design, quality accommodations and value-conscious offerings are sure to resonate with today's leisure and corporate travellers."
Ramada Suites Auckland Federal Street will offer guests a central location close to the city's most popular attractions including Aotea Square, Sky Tower and SKYCITY and the Britomart precinct, as well as the city's major businesses.
Throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim, Wyndham Hotel Group currently has more than 60 hotels open and operating under its Ramada, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts(r), Days Inn(r), TRYP by Wyndham(r) and Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham(r) brands.
Part of Wyndham Hotel Group, Ramada is a global chain of 840 midscale and upscale hotels. Most properties offer a wide array of services and amenities, including but not limited to high-speed wireless internet access, on-site restaurants, lounges, room service, concierge service, meeting and banquet facilities and business centres.
