MCI Australia Aligns With National Charity Partner, Van Wright Foundation

 Partnering with the Van Wright Foundation to deliver the 2nd Annual Gala Dinner 'A Night Filled with Hope', MCI Australia will provide services in-kind to support this great cause.

Held in the Plaza Ballroom at Melbourne's Regent Theatre on 20 February 2015, the event will promote awareness of MECP2 Duplication Syndrome and to raise much-needed funds for the foundation.

MCI Australia Project Director, Cindy-Lee Bakos, became aware of the Van Wright Foundation through Phil Wright of Exponet and his wife Collene - the parents of Van Wright. At 15 months of age, Van was diagnosed with MECP2 duplication syndrome which is a rare and progressive neurological disorder, only discovered in 2005.

MCI Australia's Managing Director, Stephan Wurzinger, is incredibly proud of the team's dedication to the event:

It was fantastic to have not only our team, but the broader events industry, getting behind this special cause through donations of in-kind services and products for the event's fundraising activities. Hopefully the event in February will raise even more valuable funds that will go towards finding a cure for this debilitating condition. It is truly rewarding for our people to be involved in such a meaningful way."

MCI Australia have a successful track record as leaders in sustainability and community projects and will lend their skills and expertise in event management, providing strategic guidance and logistical support for the Gala Dinner. In 2013 MCI was a finalist in the highly regarded Banksia Awards and in 2012, they were state finalists for the Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) CSR Award.

The foundation is also being supported by several industry partners and suppliers including StarCom MediaVest Group, Innocent Bystander by Giant Steps, Clemenger BBDO, Nelson Alexander Fitzroy and the Marriner Group's Plaza Ballroom.

The foundation is accepting donations for the event's live and silent auctions.
