Twitter For Travel Agents At The Travel Industry Exhibition In Sydney

 In three weeks time, travel professionals from all corners of the industry will have the opportunity
to develop their knowledge and skill set of the twitter platform through the exclusive seminar
session 'Twitter For Travel Agents' at The Travel Industry Exhibition in Luna Park, Sydney.

Taking place on day one of the trade exhibition, the workshop session will show how twitter can
assist travel professionals to become credible sources of information as well as develop ongoing
connections and relationships with clients and partners.

Twitter has a global audience of close to 300 million users who are influential online consumers.
Owner of Go Future Media, Holly Galbraith will host the exclusive session, "There is an opportunity for travel consultants to grow their reputation and position themselves
as experts through using the social media tool Twitter." Ms Galbraith said..."Being a travel agent
is about developing relationships and having a deep knowledge or expertise in certain travel
niches. Twitter can help you continue to expand your knowledge, as well as share and contribute
your area of expertise and also develop and build on business relationships."

She further highlighted, "Because Twitter is open and informal, it allows you to be conversational and responsive to what
is happening in real time. You can listen and contribute to conversations offering your first hand
experience and expertise."

For agents that do not yet consider themselves "twitter ready", the forty five minute workshop
covers why Twitter can be a key marketing and business tool for travel agents as well as more of
the practical "how tos" and tips of working with the platform.

"We know that travellers use twitter for everything from finding deals and travel information to
sharing experiences and giving recommendations. The Tweets travellers see and send make an
impact to purchase decisions."Ms Galbraith explains.

Holly Galbraith runs Go Future Media, a marketing consultancy specialising in social media
marketing for tourism businesses and events. Her experience in Australia's tourism and
hospitality industries spans over 15 years, both in business operations as well as marketing
strategy and implementation. Holly has a range of clients in the tourism, agri-tourism and food
space and was previously Director of Sales and Marketing at the Byron at Byron Resort and Spa
from 2005 -- 2010.

Holly runs a free monthly meet-up in Sydney called #TourismTweetup, has a free podcast series
on iTunes called Tourism Tweetup the Podcast and contributes to several industry
publications/websites on the topic of tourism and social media marketing.

This workshop session is free to attend for registered travel professionals and is available on a
first come first served basis.
