GTA Appoints Martin Jones As Senior VP, Global Sourcing & Product Development
|Martin Jones has been appointed Senior Vice President for Global Sourcing & Product Development at GTA. With immediate effect, he becomes responsible for enhancing GTA's portfolio of accommodation, services and experiences in all parts of the world. Providing businesses with ground products and services for fully independent travel (FIT), GTA is part of Kuoni's Global Travel Services division.|
Previously GTA's Vice President for Sourcing Asia Pacific, Martin will continue to be based in Singapore and succeeds Ivan Walter who was recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of GTA.
Making the appointment, Ivan Walter says: "I am very pleased to fill this position with someone of Martin's calibre. With nearly two decades' experience of fully independent travel, senior roles in sourcing and outstanding relationships throughout the industry and around the world, I have no doubt that he will drive significant success for our business in the years to come."
Martin has worked for GTA for almost 18 years. He started as an FIT Reservations Executive in London and progressed into hotel sourcing roles at increasing levels of seniority within Europe, before being appointed Senior Director for hotel sourcing across Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2008. In 2010, he moved to Singapore to lead hotel sourcing for the Asia Pacific region.

As a result of this promotion, Martin Jones joins Kuoni Global Travel Services' FIT Leadership Team alongside Nigel Horne, SVP Global Sales & Marketing and Andy Aitkenhead, SVP Global Operations. All report to GTA's CEO Ivan Walter.
