Mark Irwin Appointed General Manager, Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island
|Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island is fast establishing itself as an integral addition to the fabric of Wan Chai, one of Hong Kong's most culturally rich and historic neighbourhoods. The hotel's fresh and stylish design is original and evocative of its culturally rich urban environment, featuring a striking bronze dragon wrapped around the exterior of the building. Set over 29 floors, 138 individually styled rooms capture the history of the neighbourhood through the use of design and artwork. The rooftop is fast becoming the new, hot Hong Kong destination, showcasing a contemporary bar, Skybar and dramatic infinity glass bottomed pool. Wan Chai's shops, markets, restaurants and bars are at the hotel's doorstep, making Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island a perfect base from which to explore the neighbourhood and city.|
"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to oversee Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island," said Mark. "The hotel has rapidly grown to become a central part of the fabric of the vibrant and exciting Wan Chai neighbourhood and I look forward to further establishing it as a Hong Kong classic."
Mark has over 13 years industry experience in hospitality, holding managerial positions at the Park Hyatt Canberra, Grand Hyatt Melbourne, InterContinental Hotel Pudong, Shanghai and Crowne Plaza Hong Kong, Causeway Bay. Mark joins the Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island Team from Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong.
