Garuda Indonesia Appoints Sentot Mujiono As Vice President, Southeast Asia

 Indonesia's national carrier, Garuda Indonesia, has appointed Sentot Mujiono as Vice President, Region Southeast Asia. In his new role, Mujiono will be responsible for growing and managing the airline's operations in Brunei, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam. Garuda Indonesia currently operates more than 100 flights a week from these markets to Indonesia and beyond.

Based in the airline's office in Singapore, Mujiono assumes this leadership role after having held various positions with the national carrier since 1987. Mujiono started his career at Garuda Indonesia and over the past 26 years has worked across different departments within the company from reservations and ticketing to sales and marketing. Prior to taking up this latest role, he spent five years in China as General Manager, taking charge of the airline's operations in the market.

In 2012, Garuda Indonesia was named 'The World's Best Regional Airline' as well as 'The Best Regional Airline in Asia' by SkyTrax. Most recently, Garuda Indonesia was named 'ASEAN Premium Airline of the Year' at the inaugural LIMA 2013 ASEAN Commercial Aviation Awards and voted "The World's Best Economy Class", by Skytrax, recognizing the airline's outstanding achievements.
