Fidomatic Launches Credit Card Replenishment
|Microcell Solutions Inc., a national provider of Personal Communications Services (PCS) under the Fido brand name, is introducing a new refill option - credit card replenishment - for its prepaid Fidomatic Service, and continues to add value to its prepaid airtime vouchers.|
Fidomatic customers can now refill their account even more easily using their Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club/enRoute credit cards. This new refill option reflects Microcell Solutions' desire to continuously offer more flexibility and ease of access to Fidomatic's many users. In addition, customers can choose a $75 refill, which includes 300 minutes of airtime, valid for 90 days. This option is available exclusively to customers who replenish their airtime by credit card.
"Since its launch in September 1998, Fidomatic has been tremendously successful" stated Sean Dalton, Vice-President, Marketing, Microcell Solutions. "We recently added Personal Voice Messaging to the service, and are now offering a new refill option for Fidomatic accounts. This reaffirms our objective of always offering our customers more while providing them with a service that is easy to use and very affordable."
The pricing for Fidomatic has also been enhanced. The $25 and $50 prepaid airtime vouchers include 83 and 176 minutes respectively, still calculated by the second. This represents increases of 17% and 24% in the number of minutes offered for the same price. The validity period for these two vouchers has also been increased to 90 days. The $10 voucher still offers 28 minutes of airtime and a validity period of 60 days. Refills of $75, available only by credit card, are valid for 90 days.
Fidomatic customers represent approximately 40% of Microcell Solutions' customer base. Fidomatic was the first entirely digital prepaid service available to Canadians and the first to offer a voice messaging option. With no contract to sign and no credit check, Fidomatic remains the most affordable service in its category.
