SITA And Amadeus US$75 Million Global Network Outsourcing Deal
|SITA has been awarded a seven year US$75 million global network outsourcing contract by Amadeus to operate and manage its seamless evolution to the latest technologies. Travel agents worldwide, using over 200,000 PCs, will benefit from high speed and cost effective access to Amadeus applications and services. In addition, Amadeus has boosted SITA's US$1 billion outsourcing portfolio and joins other leading airlines and global distribution services which have already outsourced to SITA.|

Under the agreement, SITA will manage AMANET, the Amadeus network, providing its customers with access to all its mainframe applications based in Erding, Germany. Work is already in progress and full network integration should be completed by the end of 2001. SITA will also use the latest Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) technologies to enable multimedia traffic to be transferred.
