FranklinPlanner.com And fusionOne To Deliver
|Franklin Planner.com (www.franklinplanner.com), a subsidiary of Franklin Covey and fusionOne, Inc., the leading developer of Internet Sync technology, today announced a partnership to deliver Internet synchronization to Franklin Planner users worldwide. As part of this agreement, Franklin Covey will immediately integrate fusionOne's free Internet Sync service into its recently announced online planning system, FranklinPlanner.com. The integration of fusionOne enables Franklin Planner users to seamlessly keep their personal information, including appointments, contacts, tasks and notes, fully in sync with their desktop PCs, handheld devices - even their mobile phones.|
Franklin Covey, the leading global professional services firm offering learning and performance solutions, offers FranklinPlanner.com users access to the Franklin Planning System via the Internet and online calendaring, group scheduling, contact and task management, and a comprehensive event directory. With the integration of fusionOne, FranklinPlanner.com now offers seamless transfer of personal information via fusionOne to and from the FranklinPlanner.com Web site, personal digital assistants such as Palm connected organizers and Pocket PCs, and wireless devices such as phones and pagers. Franklin Covey and fusionOne plan to extend the synchronization capability to include Franklin Planner desktop software. Users may register at www.franklinplanner.com for the pre-release version of the site and sync service. The Web site will be officially launched in Fall 2000.
Darl McBride, president of FranklinPlanner.com said, "fusionOne's innovative Web-based sync technology allows users of FranklinPlanner.com and other electronic platforms such as Microsoft Outlook and the Franklin Planner edition of the Palm connected organizer to integrate their Franklin Covey-specific content with their professional and personal information. Historically, users have faced the challenge of juggling multiple calendars, contact databases and task lists, having to enter the same information multiple times in numerous devices. Together with fusionOne, we are eliminating that challenge."
"The combination of Franklin Covey's innovative and effective online planning tools with fusionOne's revolutionary sync service will enable Franklin Covey customers to maximize productivity," said Rick Onyon, president and CEO of fusionOne. "We are excited about the relationship with FranklinPlanner.com and look forward to broadening our customer base together."
In addition to providing the technology to sync users' online calendars and address books, Franklin Covey and fusionOne are working together to ensure that Franklin Covey-specific categories contained in the popular time management and productivity training course, What Matters Most, will be seamlessly synchronized across devices. These categories include Values, Roles, Missions, Goals, Prioritized Task List, Weekly Compass and Daily Record of Events.
