Datalex Launches Integrated Solutions Strategy BookIt! MATRIX

 Datalex has announced the cornerstone of a visionary strategy that further positions the company as the leading provider of technology solutions to the travel and transportation industry. The centerpiece of this strategy, BookIt! MATRIX, is a critical integration solution that reflects Datalex's vision in continuing to develop and deliver innovative and complementary e-Business solutions to the global travel industry.

BookIt! MATRIX is a powerful, extensible and scalable technology architecture that is third-party friendly and ensures that a travel enterprise can continually extend its e-Business capacities without having to periodically replace its investment in technology. Not only does it provide connectivity between back-end host applications with front-end client applications, it also provides legacy system connectivity.

BookIt! MATRIX replaces the Datalex Host Access Server (HAS) as the core integration platform that supports the company's range of e-Business solutions: BookIt! CONSUMER, BookIt! FARES, BookIt! TOUR and BookIt! PRO. The ongoing development of this platform will include enhancements that will extend the company's e-Business solutions portfolio in areas such as:

* The development of standalone and Central Reservations Systems (CRS) for leisure destination suppliers, including hospitality, resort management companies, and destination marketing organizations.

* The integration of a suite of complementary fares and rates engines to offer fully integrated inquiry and booking solutions for dynamically created private fare based itineraries and packages.

* The integration of an airline group inventory management system to provide a full solution platform for vendors of air inclusive vacation packages.

* Support for JSP/Bean technology for more simplified development and design of Web storefronts and other user interface channels with support for mobile phones, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and other wireless devices.

* Open Travel Alliance (OTA)/XML support
