SAMSUNG WIRELESS PHONE WITH NEW DATA-ENABLED TRI-MODE HANDSET
|Expanding its presence in the Canadian market, Samsung Telecommunications America (STA), Inc. has introduced a new handset that gives callers maximum performance and value in wireless voice and data communications. Offered through Bell Mobility, the SCH-2530 dual-band/tri-mode handset gives users the ability to roam on both analog and digital networks, ensuring anywhere calling. The SCH-2350 is a compact product that provides advanced features.|
"The SCH-2530 is Samsung's latest move to expand its position in the important and growing Canadian market,'' said Peter Skarzynski, vice president of sales and marketing for wireless terminals, STA. ''The SCH-2530 packs the most advanced features available in the smallest size possible, all at a value callers appreciate.''
Weighing in at only 5.1 ounces with the slim battery, the SCH-2530 increases personal productivity by allowing users to send and receive e-mail messages and manage important data.
The bilingual (English and French) SCH-2530 also offers a vibrate alert option that allows users to receive calls without disturbing others around them. Learning to use the phone is entertaining and simple with a self-guided tutorial that allows people to get the most from all of the SCH-2530's productivity tools.
The tri-mode SCH-2530 operates on CDMA 1900 MHz and 800 MHz digital PCS networks as well as AMPS 800 MHz analog networks. This means callers can enjoy crystal clear digital calls with the assurance of uninterrupted service no matter where they travel.
Three lithium ion battery options are available. The standard battery gives callers up to 2.2 hours of talk time or up to 36 hours of standby time in digital mode, and the extended battery provides up to 3.5 hours of talk time or 58 hours of standby time in digital mode. The slim battery gives callers up to 1.5 hours of digital talk time or up to 80 hours of digital standby time.
