FCm Travel Solutions Expands In Asia Pacific Region

 FCm Travel Solutions, has consolidated its regional business development strategy in the Asia Pacific with the opening of a new sales and account management office in Singapore. At the same time the global travel management company has also established a partnership agreement with Korea's largest and longest serving travel management company, Sejoong Tour Co Ltd.

The new Singapore office forms part of FCm's drive to increase business development and account management resources in the South East Asia region, building on the group's steady growth and success across the region. It will be led by regional account manager Stephan van Arnhem and regional director of sales, Cailin Keaney.

FCm expects around 60 per cent of the travel volume transacted by the office to come from Singapore, while the balance will originate from countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

The new partnership in Korea meanwhile gives FCm an immediate footing as the dominant local corporate travel specialist in the country.

Established in 1982, Sejoong Tour has a 20 per cent share of the Korean business travel market, and transacts approximately 80 per cent of its business in the corporate sector. Between 2004 and 2006, its corporate travel increased by almost 30 per cent. The company has three business travel centres located in the main commercial hubs of Korea - Seoul (headquarters), Kangnam and Busan City.

The company is known for its substantial expertise, local knowledge, and ability to negotiate competitive fares and rates through well established relationships with key industry suppliers. It has serviced a number of major clients, including various Samsung businesses, since 1985.

It employs approximately 570 people, including more than 100 corporate travel specialists, and has a strong internal culture in which staff loyalty averages more than 10 years.

"The Singapore team will enable FCm to provide more active management of the regional network and client base, and help ensure service consistency for regional clients," said Anthony Grigson, FCm's global executive manager. "It will also allow us to create more local and regional business opportunities with multinational clients already being serviced by FCm in other parts of the world".

Commenting on the Korea partnership, Grigson added: "Sejoong Tour Co is widely respected as the local leader in Korea's corporate travel industry, and we are delighted to have formed a partnership with a company of this standing. Being part of the FCm network will enable Sejoong Tour to participate in more regional account bids and service FCm's existing Asian clients who have travel management needs in Korea."

Sejoong Tour Co has rebranded as FCm Korea.
