"I am thrilled to be joining the Scrub Island team as we embark on a major capital improvement plan and activate a dedicated real estate strategy," said Miller.

The new general manager of Scrub Island Resort, Douglas (Chip) Nelson began his nearly 30 year career in hotel and resort operations with Marriott, working his way up to hold director positions in food and beverage, event management, operations and general management. As general manager of Scrub Island Resort, Nelson will direct all departments, operations and revenue management at the private island property. He will bring a number of accounting and finance skills to the table which will be highly utilized as the resort takes on further growth and advancement.
