National Car Rental Wins Major International Contract With EADS
|National Car Rental has signed a major new contract with the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) as preferred car rental supplier. EADS employs around 110,000 people at more than 70 production sites, predominantly in the UK, France, Spain and Germany. |
EADS is a global leader in aerospace, defence and related services and the business includes the aircraft manufacturer Airbus, the world's largest helicopter supplier Eurocopter, the joint venture MBDA, the second largest missile producer in the global market and Astrium the satellite maker market leader.
This new contract gives EADS global car rental support, with particular focus on Europe. National's seamless and streamlined process, from reservation through to invoicing, supports EADS's efficiency objectives and enables the company to consolidate its vehicle rental services. National's competitive pricing and customer oriented service, provided at a national, regional and local level were also key factors in its selection by EADS.
Holger Malzahn, Senior Vice President General Procurement, EADS said, "We were looking for a supplier that could provide a consistent service, with a fleet of vehicles in all relevant groups, across all the countries in which we operate, 365 days per year. Key to the contract was the need for flexibility in rental arrangements, allowing us to rent a vehicle from a few days to a few months. National demonstrated its ability to respond to all of our needs quickly and professionally and also offered dedicated service and quality management."
Ron Santiago, Vice President Sales & Marketing for EMEA of National Car Rental said, "This is a fantastic contract and will really enable us to continue to grow awareness of the National brand in the corporate sector throughout Europe. This win demonstrates the expertise of our international sales team and the strength and security of our business.
"This is a hugely exciting time for everyone at National and this phenomenal contract will help to ensure the brand continues to go from strength to strength in all business travel destinations across the world."
