National Car Rental at WTM 2006 Stand GV7300

National Car Rental is set to showcase a range of new technology based initiatives at this year's WTM (World Travel Market), as well as focus on frequent traveller programmes. National's new international corporate self booking tool, Drive National, is leading the field in technological advances for business car rental. Providing valuable efficiency advantages for businesses, Drive National has been designed specifically to address the needs of the international business traveller, enabling them to book, amend, replicate and cancel reservations throughout the National global network.

Key features include:

- Open to individual company user bookers
- Provides 24/7 access to International, cross border reservations
- Available in English, French and German
- Provides email confirmation to booker
- Supports all forms of payment
- Can be used in conjunction with Emerald Club membership, National's frequent rental programme

Drive National will also play a vital role in business travel management, providing the following key benefits to travel managers and bookers:

- Displays a company's corporate travel policy
- Displays recent online reservation history
- Enables company specific messages on the homepage for efficient employee communication regarding travel related issues

"Corporate self-booking tools are seen as instrumental in achieving improved business traveller productivity, whilst managing costs" confirmed David McNeill, Head of EMEA International Corporate Accounts at National Car Rental. "The introduction of Drive National is, therefore, an important development for multi-national corporates and demonstrates National's on-going commitment to this sector."

Another significant technological advance that has major customer service advantages -- particularly for the travel trade -- is E-vouchers. National is leading the international car rental market with the introduction of the first ever global E-voucher programme for this sector. National's new E-vouchers are available for business and leisure customers across the company's entire network, supporting reservations at any of National's locations worldwide.

E-vouchers are already widely used in the travel sector, most notably for flights. National believes their application in the rental sector will make a huge difference for business and leisure travellers. Customers will no longer need to present a voucher at time of rental - all the necessary information will be held on National's reservation system which can be accessed at the rental counter. Travellers will, therefore, no longer have to worry about losing a paper voucher. And reduced counter service time will mean a faster, more efficient service -- making car rental a seamless part of the journey. This important new initiative will also improve service delivery and billing accuracy for corporate customers and travel agents. Quicker invoicing will be achieved for international rentals and there will be much less risk of any invoicing discrepancies.

Frequent travellers are also a big focus for National at WTM. The company is set to announce some exciting developments for its corporate loyalty programme, Emerald Club, plus it will be talking about its partnerships with a number of airlines and travel reward schemes. These include AirFrance/KLM, Visa Platinum and Gold cards, American Express and the new innovative reward programme, buy and fly!

National and sister brands, Alamo Rent A Car and Guy Salmon Prestige Rental, have joined forces with buy and fly! to give travellers access to great benefits. Every time a UK resident hires from National, Alamo or Guy Salmon they can collect points to redeem with any of the partner brands involved in the buy and fly! programme. One point will be awarded for every £10 spent with Alamo and National and every £30 spent with Guy Salmon. To collect points, all the buy and fly! member has to do is simply show their membership card when collecting their vehicle at any National, Alamo or Guy Salmon location in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the USA and Canada.

Buy and fly! members can also redeem the points they have collected with all the buy and fly! participating companies to use for vehicle hire with National, Alamo and Guy Salmon in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and the USA and Canada.

David McNeill concludes: "WTM is always an exciting time for the travel trade and we look forward to sharing our latest developments with the industry at the event."
