Vanguard Rental (UK) Creates Two Distinct Marketing

 Vanguard Rental (UK) Ltd, the UK's leading vehicle rental business operating the Alamo Rent A Car, National Car Rental and Guy Salmon Prestige Rental brands has re-aligned its marketing function to create two distinct teams focused on the consumer and business markets both in the UK and internationally.

Sally Hinds has been promoted to head the consumer marketing function as Leisure Marketing Director. The corporate marketing area will be led by Rebecca Madden who has been promoted to Director, EMEA Corporate Marketing.

Prior to this promotion, Sally Hinds was Alamo's Marketing Director with responsibility for point of sale activity across all channels and for creating and implementing a pan-European online strategy. In her new role, Sally takes on responsibility for all domestic marketing activity for the Alamo and Guy Salmon brands, ensuring the expertise she has gained in international marketing is leveraged for the benefit of the UK business.

Sally's team will also work closely with the sales team for all the brands globally supporting tour operators and brokers who sell car rental.

Rebecca Madden joined Vanguard in 2001 as EMEA Marketing Manager. She has been a driving force for cross border revenue generation for the National brand, most recently focusing on developing its presence in the multinational corporate sector, as well as building third party relationships and partnerships with hotels, airlines and other affiliated market sectors and providing marketing support to National's extensive international franchise network.

In her new role, Rebecca will be responsible for identifying and exploiting the marketing opportunities within the fleet and business travel sector domestically and across EMEA, capitalising on the strong foundations already created for National's multinational corporate offering, whilst sustaining National's market leadership in the UK fleet & corporate sectors. She will also have a key part to play in National's commitment to constantly raise the bar in terms of innovation and service for corporate vehicle rental, ensuring that customer relationships are enhanced whilst creating new business prospects to grow market penetration. In addition, Rebecca will be responsible for brand governance for all three of Vanguard's brands -- National, Alamo and Guy Salmon.
