Europcar City -- A New Approach To Car Rental In The UK
|Europcar UK has devised a new approach to car rental, which has been designed to|
maximise the company's presence in the UK. Titled Europcar City, this mobile car rental
facility can be easily installed at any location where Europcar identifies significant consumer demand, from city centres and at major tourist attractions, to bus and railway stations.
Europcar City offers a complete car rental facility, with IT links to Europcar's in-house
rental booking system which will allow a Europcar representative - who will man the office during peak times - to be able to process reservations and arrange vehicle deliveries and collections on-site. Vehicles available for rental will be located within close proximity to Europcar City, giving the customer easy access to vehicles whether they are being collected or returned.
There is a convenient key drop-off facility during off-peak hours and reservations can be
taken and any queries answered via an in-built telephone inside Europcar City, connecting the customer directly to Europcar UK's Reservation and Sales Centre.
Europcar City is perfect for both the leisure and business traveller and is flexible in that it
can be installed as a long-term rental provider, but can also provide a short-term solution to meet significant rental demand, for example during a sporting event or exhibition.
The first Europcar City is already successfully operating at Euston train station in
London. Ninety percent of rentals generated during its first month of operation were new
London renters for Europcar.
Marie Barry, Europcar's Managing Director said: "Europcar City will make us much
More accessible to our customers and take the Europcar brand to a wider audience. We

Europcar City at Euston, we will continue to roll out the programme over the next few
