Hertz UAE To Keep Pace With Soarinig Car Rental, Leasing Demand

Hertz UAE has turned to IT to help keep pace with soaring demand for its car rental and leasing services. The company has enjoyed a 35% increase in business volumes in the first nine months of the year, and with the trend set to continue has introduced a new web enabled software system for reservations and customer service.

Working with CarPro Systems International, Hertz UAE has completed an upgrade to CarPro's new generation RentProXL and LeaseProXL software.

"This is the most modern car rental and leasing system available in the market today," said Bob Farrow, General Manager of Hertz UAE. "It's much easier for staff to use and it will make us more efficient in terms of customer service.

"This is important at a very busy time for the company. We've experienced a 35% increase in business volumes in the first nine months of 2007 and the growth will continue to accelerate over the next couple of years."

Farrow added: "We worked with CarPro to develop the new software, analysing every aspect of our operation and looking very carefully at what we needed from the system."

"These latest solutions will provide us with the versatility we need to optimise our fleet utilisation, minimise operating costs, increase efficiency and quality".

Dave Kaplan, CarPro's VP Marketing & Sales said: "We have worked closely with Hertz UAE during the past few months and the high level of cooperation between our companies has resulted in a smooth and successful migration transition period. We are confident that within a very short period of time Hertz UAE will begin to reap the benefits of this agreement."

Hertz UAE is part of the Al-Futtaim Group, one of the most respected corporations in the Gulf region which was founded over 70 years ago. Today the group comprises of over 40 companies in a diverse range of strategically positioned operating subsidiaries and associate companies.
