Hertz Launches 369 Service For Car Rentals For 3, 6 & 9 Hours In Europe

Hertz has launched 'Hertz 369' at over 1200 city and airport locations in Europe, offering travellers the choice and freedom of renting a car for less than 24 hours - saving travellers the expense of airport shuttles and taxis. Cars from Hertz 369 can be rented for just three, six or nine hours, starting from as little as £35, by simply calling reservations on tel 08708 448844 or booking at a Hertz location or online at www.hertz.co.uk

Prices for Hertz 369 in the UK start from £35 for three hours, £43 for six hours and £60 for nine hours (6pm - 9am), with 100, 200 and 300 miles inclusive respectively. Cars can be picked up at one location and dropped off at another and the service is available at city and airport locations across Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.

Hertz 369 is the perfect choice for people who need to get to and from the airport or city dwellers who do not own car but require transport to escape the city to visit friends and family. Business users can also arrive stress free to meetings without paying expensive taxis costs or having the hassle of carrying belongings on public transport.

Car groups available include economy (Ford Fiesta 1.25 or similar) and compact vehicles (Ford Focus 1.6 LX or similar). All rentals include 24 hour emergency road side assistance, collision damage waiver, theft protection, location and airport service charge, vehicle license fee and tax.

On average, Hertz 369 is a more cost effective solution for short journeys, which might usually be taken by taxi or train. For example, a trip from Leeds city centre to Manchester airport by train costs nearly £100 for a family of four*, which works out over twice as expensive as hiring a Hertz 369 car at the 6 hour rate (£43) plus the cost of fuel.

Taxis also work out more pricey with a journey from Leeds city centre to Newcastle airport in a taxi costing up to £100, one way, a much pricier option than the £43 Hertz 369 rate.**

Mark Tristram -Walmsley, commercial director of Hertz UK said: "Hertz is dedicated to providing as much choice and freedom as possible for customers and is constantly developing its offering to achieve this. By offering the opportunity to rent a car for just 3, 6 or 9 hours, Hertz 369 provides a convenient and cost effective solution for a large number of travellers who require a car for a limited amount of time."
