National Car Rental Gains New Partner In Iceland
|National Car Rental is heading to the land of the midnight sun as it announces its new partnership with one of Iceland's largest vehicle rental companies, H'ldur ehf. - Bilaleiga Akureyrar. The new partnership is part of National's ongoing expansion across Europe to provide a comprehensive car rental network for business and leisure travellers.|
H'ldur ehf. has been supplying rental cars in Iceland for over 30 years and currently has 12 rental locations nationwide. The largest branches are in Reykjavik, Iceland's capital city and at Keflavik International Airport to welcome visitors as they land.
With a fleet of around 300 vehicles to choose from, National customers will be able to enjoy the beauty of Iceland in anything from small economy cars through to 4 wheel drive jeeps. In addition National can offer 9-15 seat minibuses, 4 wheel drive campervans and some luxury vehicles for those who want to travel in style.
Ron Santiago, Vice President of International Sales and Marketing EMEA for National Car Rental, comments, "Iceland holds great potential for the National brand - there is a growing leisure market for car rental as well traditional business users and there is also a large US Forces Base that provides further business opportunities. Added to this, the Icelandic economy has been expanding over recent years, which means there is a new market for international business travellers.
"This is an exciting opportunity for National and we look forward to working with our new partner to provide the growth in business and leisure travellers with the quality rental experience they have come to expect from us all over the world."
