Hertz Signs Global Partnership With Air France

 Hertz has signed a global partnership agreement with Air France, to supply exclusive benefits and preferential car rental rates to the airline's passengers, and to members of Fréquence Plus, the airline's frequent traveller programme. Hertz has been the global car rental partner to Air France for 14 years, since 1989, and this new agreement is for a further three years, until 31st December 2005.

To celebrate the renewal of the partnership, all Air France passengers will be offered free enrolment into Hertz' expedited rental service, Hertz #1 Club Gold. Launched in Europe in 1992, Hertz #1 Club Gold is a premium, time-saving rental service which has been designed to give customers both the level of service they expect and the convenience they demand. Now available at over 1,000 locations worldwide, the entire car rental process for frequent travellers is speeded up by removing the need to complete and sign a new rental agreement every time they rent a vehicle.

Fréquence Plus members can also enjoy the benefits of a newly structured mileage programme, which offers up to 600 Fréquence Plus miles per Hertz rental of three days or more.

In addition to the European agreement, Air France customers calling any one of the company's European call centres can now be automatically transferred to Hertz' European Reservations Centre, based in Dublin, to arrange car hire in any Hertz corporately operated country in Europe, including Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, and Switzerland. Since August 2003 Club members in France (Fréquence Plus Rouge, Bleu & Club 2000) can also be automatically transferred when they call the Air France reservation centre.

Bookings and information can also be accessed via a specially formulated co-branded website, www.hertz.com/airfrance or through the Air France worldwide web sites.

Fréquence Plus members will also be able to use their earned miles towards Hertz car rental and we will be offering regular special promotions and incentives to this group."
