Budget Signs Exclusive Fly-Drive Partnership With Air Polonia
|Budget Rent a Car has become the exclusive fly-drive partner for Air Polonia, the Polish low-cost airline. The agreement is for an initial four-year period. Jill Grinsted, director of sales and marketing, EMEA at Budget said: "We are delighted to have signed this new fly-drive agreement with central Europe's first low-cost airline. Poland was the largest of the new member states to join the EU on May 1 and we see considerable potential for this exciting new partnership. Already, there are 17 Air Polonia flights weekly between London Stansted and four destinations in Poland." |
Budget will be offering Air Polonia flyers special all-inclusive preferential rates. Passengers arriving at Stansted can rent from as little as £16 per day while visitors to Poland will, in addition to benefiting from highly competitive rates, be able to add additional drivers at no extra cost on all rentals.
Flyers will be able to book car rental directly online at www.airpolonia.com , or at one of Budget's on-airport or downtown locations serving Air Polonia's destinations. The airline's website is directly linked to the Budget booking engine.
Marek Slawatyniec, sales director at Air Polonia, said: "Our alliance with Budget will greatly strengthen our added value services to our passengers. Budget is one of Europe's major car rental players for business and leisure renters and will deliver to our passengers value-for-money car rental, backed by an efficient quality service."
Air Polonia was founded in 2001 and started low-cost passenger flights on 1 April 2003. Flights from London Stansted serve Warsaw, Katowice, Poznan and Gdansk. Air Polonia also flies from Poland to Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, Cologne, Madrid, Rome and Athens.
