National Car Rental EMEA Puts The Business Driver First At BTS 2005

Business travel is generally endured rather than enjoyed, frequently taking place during an individual's personal time (early in the morning or late at night) and often involving considerable stress (delays, unknown cities, etc). Acknowledging this, National Car Rental, the corporate daily rental specialist, is launching a series of new initiatives for business travellers that will be showcased at Business Travel Show 2005.

"Recent research amongst corporate travel agents and travel buyers across Europe has reinforced the fact that business travellers - and their employers - want a service that exactly matches their particular requirements", confirmed Ron Santiago, Vice President International Sales and Marketing, EMEA for National Car Rental. "With most business travel done in an individual's own time, the last thing they need is hassle or delays. And employers need to know personnel are travelling safely and efficiently.

"Our focus for 2005 is, therefore, on making the vehicle rental process as stress free as possible for the business customer -- from initial reservation and collection to return delivery and billing. And our extensive corporate experience gives us the ability to deliver on this promise in over 83 countries and more than 3,200 locations worldwide."

New York Prize Draw

As well as introducing a number of new initiatives at Business Travel Show 2005, National is also offering business travellers, travel agents and buyers the chance to win a trip to New York. All visitors have to do is complete the entry form on the stand for the chance to win this exclusive prize, as well as go into the draw for runner up prizes of weekend rentals from National's sister company, prestige vehicle specialist, Guy Salmon.

New Initiatives for 2005

Safety and convenience are the key drivers behind the new developments from National Car Rental to be featured at Business Travel Show 2005 including:

Safer International Driving

Visitors to Business Travel Show will be able to learn about Drive Safe, a new initiative to help business and leisure travellers drive safely, scheduled for launch in Quarter 1 2005.

With the continued expansion of National's global network, Drive Safe will offer customers vital information to help them drive safely wherever they rent a car. Covering over 50 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa, as well as the United States and Canada, Drive Safe is designed to improve the safety and enjoyment of driving abroad with information instantly available from the web. And, in advance of the launch, visitors to Business Travel Show 2005 will be able to collect a copy of an exclusive preview of Drive Safe from the National stand.

Fast Track Priority

Members of National's Emerald Club Fast Track priority service enjoy considerable benefits. In the
UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Benelux and Switzerland , members can book through their corporate reservation number or the dedicated Emerald Club reservation line to ensure the vehicle of their choice is ready to collect at the Emerald Club desk -- no queues and no forms to sign.

The vehicle will also be held for up to 3 hours after the agreed pick-up time, ensuring that plane delays or bad traffic can be endured without fear that the reservation will be cancelled.

And in other EMEA locations, Emerald Club members receive priority service, including free vehicle upgrade where available.

When Emerald Club members rent vehicles in North America they can benefit from a fast-track rental experience at every location, with total counter bypass at 50 major airport locations in the USA and 3 in

A Wider European Network

Providing a dedicated service to business travellers throughout EMEA, National has over 1000 locations in more than 50 countries, ensuring that their car rental experience is swift and hassle-free. And network expansion continues apace with new openings in Switzerland, Iceland, Finland and Lithuania in 2004 and planned openings in Serbia & Montenegro, Jordan and Oman by the end of March 2005.

Streamlining Vehicle Rental Administration

Whilst much of National's focus is on the business driver, it is also developing a number of initiatives to streamline the administration of daily rental services for corporates. These include the extension of its already proven e-billing services throughout EMEA and the introduction of an international online self-booking service for drivers.

Special Deals for Visa cardholders

National Car Rental has also announced the extension of its participation in the Visa World's Best Offers programme. All Visa cardholders can take advantage of this highly competitive global promotion to book cars at a discounted rate from one of National's 3,200 locations worldwide. The
promotion, which runs to the end of June 2005, allows Visa cardholders to receive 20% discount on National's Passport rates from any one of its participating locations around the globe
Tailored Solutions for Business Travel Agents

Demonstrating its focus on the business travel market, Pack15, National's car rental product for business travel agents selling to SMEs, has also recently been extended to cover South Africa and the Middle East. Designed specifically for business travel agents, Pack15 features a combination of competitive, all-inclusive rates and an uncomplicated sales proposition, offering three car groups to choose from and just two price brands for the ultimate in simplicity.
In particular, Pack15 has proved popular with travel agents, as it offers 15% commission and allows them to enhance the service they provide to the key SME markets.

"There are huge opportunities for us with the opening of the EU states and the key business travel markets of the UK, France, Spain, Germany and Benelux, where we already have a strong presence. The Business Travel Show is an excellent opportunity to showcase our new developments which will ease the burden and improve the safety of business travel throughout EMEA."
