Air France KLM Ancillary Content Now Available To Travelport Agents In Eastern Europe

 Travelport has announced the successful rollout of multiple ancillary products from Air France KLM to agents across Russia and Eastern Europe. The roll out forms part of Travelport's merchandising strategy to partner with airlines to enable them to distribute their fares and ancillary content exactly how they chose to.

Paid bags for both airlines, and Economy Comfort seating from KLM, are now available with immediate effect to all Travelport-connected agencies in countries including Russia, Poland, Hungary, Romania and The Baltics.

"The Travelport Merchandising Platform provides a highly effective distribution channel for our airline partners and offers them a flexible way to distribute their content to our 67,000 travel agency customers worldwide. At the same time it ensures the broadest possible choice of content for our agency customers." Said Robin Ranken, Head of Airline Relationships for Europe.

Travelport Merchandising Platform, which has three components, has been successfully rolled out across the globe since its launch in April 2013. The first component, Travelport Aggregated Shopping, has already been adopted by easyJet, Norwegian, Transavia and while Travelport Ancillary Services is live with a number of airlines, including Alitalia, Aegean and Air New Zealand.

The final component, Travelport Rich Content and Branding, is scheduled to be launched over the coming months. Currently in development with several partner airlines, this solution will allow airlines to market and retail their products more effectively by controlling how their product is visually presented and described to travel agents.
