Abacus Breaks New Ground With AIC Conference In Abu Dhabi
|Abacus is hosting the leaders of Asia Pacific's travel industry in the emirates this October, gathering together representatives of the trade's vast purchasing power for the biennial Abacus International Conference (AIC). Over 500 delegates will be flying into Abu Dhabi to evaluate and debate the latest technological innovations around travel, in the context of the trends now driving booking behaviour across the 31 regional markets that Abacus serves. |
Choosing Abu Dhabi for its emerging role as gateway for business and leisure travel from Asia Pacific, the technology company is highlighting how strategic investment in network infrastructure will stimulate demand.
Robert Bailey, President and CEO for Abacus explained, "The Middle East's aviation brands are now themselves trending in Asia Pacific, with the region's award-winning hubs attracting over ten-fold increases in bookings on the most popular routes, year-on-year. Abu Dhabi is the right setting to talk about ground breaking growth and enterprise."
Acclaimed speakers are scheduled to address delegates over the three packed days. Separate tracks will refine retail strategies, expand big data's role and showcase the latest automation tools.
With time to unwind too, AIC delegates will enjoy the emirates' exceptional hospitality and entertainment, including F1 fast track Ferrari World and Abu Dhabi Golf Club. Concluding the conference, Abacus will host a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, recognising outstanding achievement and performance.
The AIC Conference will be held on October 14 to 17, 2014 at the Yas Events Centre.
