Chambers Travel Group Boosts Presence In Netherlands; Hosts Chatter Forum In Amsterdam

 Chambers Travel Group is expanding its presence in the Netherlands after experiencing 40 per cent growth in the Dutch market. Over the last year Chambers has won four new multi-national clients based in Holland with a total annual business travel spend of £1.4 million, meaning the company now handles 20 corporate clients from its office in Amsterdam.

Since becoming the European anchor for CTM Group in January 2015, Chambers has embarked on further growth opportunities in the Netherlands via tenders for major clients based in this market.

Chambers' Amsterdam office was established three years ago, but the recent growth means the TMC is now looking to expand its local operation and recruit additional staff.

In addition, Chambers Travel Group is staging its first ever 'Chambers Chatter' forum in Amsterdam for existing and potential clients on April 23rd at the Amsterdam American Hotel from 6pm to 9pm.

Chambers Chatter forums have already been held successfully in London and Munich. This series of learning and networking seminars for existing and potential travel management and MICE clients is designed to encourage debate and discussion on latest industry news and trends. The seminars emphasise Chambers' commitment to education and best practice within the industry.

Entitled 'Think Global: Act Local', the Amsterdam Chatter event will feature a presentation by Chambers' client Karla de Jong, office manager for Mattel, based in Holland, who is responsible for Mattel's corporate travel programme Europe-wide. The presentation will be followed by an open discussion looking at topics such as:

• What makes The Netherlands so attractive for international companies to establish their European HQ here?
• What are the requirements that Travel Managers look for in a TMC?
- Help reduce our travel spend
- Help better organize our business travel (smart spending)
- Their Local/European/Global presence
• What makes companies decide between a big TMC vs a small TMC
