Worldspan and JetBlue Airways Announce Full Content Agreement
|Worldspan, L.P. has announced that JetBlue Airways has signed a new five-year full content distribution agreement. Through the agreement, all of the carrier's published fares and inventory, including published fares JetBlue offers through other distributors, its reservation offices and at jetblue.com, will be available Friday, October 20, through multiple booking channels served by the Worldspan global distribution system (GDS).|
JetBlue's participation in the Worldspan GDS enables shopping, pricing and bookings by Worldspan's travel agencies and corporate customers, including business travelers who book trips online using Worldspan Trip Manager XE, as well as travel buyers who purchase opaque flights or travel packages at designated Worldspan-connected travel Web sites.
"Worldspan offers a broad and valuable network for delivering JetBlue inventory directly to the travel buyer's desktop. Worldspan links us to those customers we are not reaching through other channels, and ensures our customers have a state-of-the-art travel buying experience," said Noreen Courtney-Wilds, director of Sales for JetBlue Airways.
"Our distribution partnership with JetBlue provides Worldspan subscribers with long-term access to the full content of one of the United States' premier low-cost carriers," said Kevin Ficco, Worldspan vice president - Airline Distribution and Business Development. "We welcome JetBlue as our newest participating airline."
JetBlue Airways is a New York City-based low-cost carrier serving 47 destinations with up to 470 flights daily.
