Key3Media Signs MGM Grand For COMDEX
|Key3Media Group, Inc. today announced its entrance into a multi-year contract with MGM MIRAGE, naming the MGM Grand the official annual location for the COMDEX Conference Program. COMDEX, the premier information technology marketplace, attracts thousands of IT professionals and media each November in Las Vegas. COMDEX brings over $500 million of business into the City of Las Vegas each year.|
"Extensive research into Las Vegas venues, coupled with the success of COMDEX programs at the MGM Grand last year, concluded that the MGM Grand is the best location in the city for the COMDEX Conference Program," said Fredric D. Rosen, Chairman and CEO, Key3Media Group, Inc. "We are excited about this agreement and anticipate an even greater long-term relationship with MGM MIRAGE properties in the future."
The agreement calls for Key3Media to house its COMDEX Conference in the 380,000 square foot, $100 million MGM Grand Conference Center for the week of its annual run. The COMDEX Conference features approximately 400 speakers in 175 education sessions. As part of the agreement, Key3Media has also secured significant room blocks at the MGM Grand Hotel for COMDEX conference attendees - providing one convenient location for business and technology leaders taking part in the COMDEX educational program.
"All of us at MGM MIRAGE are proud to play a larger role in COMDEX which has been, and will continue to be, an important annual event for Las Vegas," said J. Terrence Lanni, Chairman, MGM MIRAGE.
"Over the last twenty years Comdex has become an annual institution in Las Vegas, so we are delighted to see a long-term commitment to our city," said Congresswoman Shelley Berkley. "The continuing partnership between our city and the elite of the high tech world will ensure that Las Vegas remains at the cutting edge of technology for many years to come."
The COMDEX Conference Program has grown to serve thousands of business and technology leaders during its annual run in Las Vegas. This agreement will help Key3Media fulfill its commitment to work with the City of Las Vegas to manage traffic flow during the COMDEX event. Key3Media will continue to introduce new programs and strategies to better serve its customers, as part of its new customer-centric philosophy.
