|Direct Energy Centre has executed a contract with SIAL Canada (Salon International de l'Alimentation) and SET Canada (Salon des Équipements et des Technologies en Alimentation) expos for their 10th edition, to be held from April 30th to May 2nd 2013. This is the first year SIAL Canada will use Direct Energy Centre as its venue and brings an estimated 13,000 professional decision makers to the Centre.|
A must in the North American food industry, SIAL Canada is a show that brings together exhibitors and buyers from around the world from the retail and foodservice industries. Having achieved record participation in its first edition in Toronto in 2011, SIAL Canada has new ambitions for its return in Montreal, Canada's gastronomy capital, in 2012: to be the one and only platform for innovation and international business in the Canadian food industry, and to occupy that position every year, whether it be in Montreal or Toronto.
"We are thrilled that SIAL has chosen Direct Energy Centre as their Toronto venue for 2013" says General Manager, Arlene Campbell, "We look forward to a successful long term relationship".
SIAL Canada is a professional food show that is part of the international SIAL network, which is made up of five different shows on four continents (France, Canada, Brazil, China, United Arab Emirates), with a total of 7,500 exhibitors and 220,000 visitors from more than 200 countries. The show is an exceptional platform to keep abreast of the market's business potential, while building bonds between professionals. Founded in 2001, SIAL Canada is a partnership between the Association des détaillants en alimentation du Québec (A.D.A.Q.), the Agri-Food Export Group Quebec-Canada and Exposium.
