Tampa Convention Center's New Bay Bistro Restaurant Opens January 16

 The Tampa Convention Center (TCC) has announced its newest waterfront dining option for lunch - Bay Bistro restaurant. Located on the ground floor of the convention center along Tampa's busy RiverWalk, Bay Bistro opens to the public on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, and will serve lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bay Bistro features indoor and outdoor seating with a spectacular view of Tampa's Hillsborough River. The restaurant features a relaxed ambiance with sea of varying hues of blue, green and brown to represent the nature that makes Florida unique. Patrons will enjoy an eclectic menu with delectable dishes, such as Southern-Fried Green Tomatoes, Brie-L-T, Grilled Mahi Mahi, Portobello Steak Salad and daily specials. Menu items will range from $6 to $12 dollars.

"In an effort to further develop the Tampa waterfront, TCC has expanded its food options to include Bay Bistro as a waterfront destination to compliment Sail Pavilion and increase opportunities for patrons using the Tampa RiverWalk," said Eric Blanc, Director of Sales and Marketing at Tampa Convention Center.

Parking is available in the TCC parking garage was well as several surface lots in the general vicinity of the convention center. The restaurant will also offer a valet parking option in the future.
