PCMA Education Conference In Toronto, June 22-25, 2014

The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) will be experimenting with a live case study in content delivery at the PCMA Education Conference in Toronto, June 22-25, 2014. The first day of the conference will follow a more traditional design format with general session speakers and breakout sessions. The second day is when PCMA will unleash its new open-spaced learning format, developed in collaboration with George P. Johnson.

One room will play host to the entire conference day, with nine separate areas focused on a variety of topics and interests where attendees will choose what content matters most to them. PCMA is experimenting with this new format to provide additional networking opportunities as well as deliver a new more collaborative way to learn.

"PCMA is known throughout the industry for taking risks. It is something we pride ourselves on and our members expects from us," said Deborah Sexton, president & CEO, PCMA. "By exploring and testing the success of this new education format and then enabling members to utilize the design for their own events, we believe the risk is well worth the reward."

Toronto promises a number of learning opportunities for attendees including sessions from Heidi Grant Halvorson, who will provide attendees with strategies to help accomplish your goals; Josh Linkner, will be showing attendees how to jump start creativity; and Luke Williams, educating participants on applying disruption to their own careers. You can learn more about the speakers here.
