Just in time for Valentine's Day, Broadway Across Canada's smash hit musical Beauty and the Beast is coming to Vancouver. Taking place at Queen Elizabeth Theatre, the award-winning production brings to life the magical love story of Belle and her Beast with dazzling choreography, vocals, set and costume design, and an unforgettable score.
Talking Stick Festival
February 17 to March 1
The Talking Stick Festival -- Western Canada's premiere Aboriginal arts festival -- returns to Vancouver for its 14th anniversary. Drawing nearly 20,000 attendees annually, the festival features performances by local, national and internationally acclaimed Aboriginal artists, ranging from powwow and theatre to contemporary dance, visual arts and slam poetry face-offs. Festival-goers are also invited to check out an array of workshops, artist talks and panel discussions.
Winterruption on Granville Island

Celebrating a decade of arts, music and dance this year, Winterruption is gearing up to stage a winter carnival like no other. Visitors can marvel at high-flying acrobatics courtesy of Axe Capoeira, join a colourful Carnival procession and sample Granville Island spirits on a "Meet Your Makers" tour. Afterward, unwind to the smooth Brazilian vibe of Celso Mechado (presented by Coastal Jazz), or chow down on delicious eats at the Sustainable Seafood Market Dinner (presented by Edible Canada and the David Suzuki Foundation).

Celebrate local, national and international Jewish cultural talent at the 15th annual Chutzpah! Festival. This year's event features awe-inspiring dance, insightful theatre, gut-wrenching comedies and lively music. For nearly a month, Chutzpah! takes place at various locations across Vancouver, including The Norman Rothstein Theatre. Tickets can be purchased through Tickets Tonight.
Vancouver International Wine Festival
February 20 to March 1
The Vancouver International Wine Festival is one of North America's largest wine festivals, attracting vintners and wine enthusiasts from around the world. Marking its 37th year in 2015, the event features more than 170 participating wineries, amounting to 1,750-plus wines on pour. Over the course of seven days, attendees can choose from some 50 festival events, including wine seminars, winery dinners and an assortment of lunches and brunches at Vancouver's finest restaurants and hotels. This year's theme country is Australia and the global focus is Syrah. We'll drink to that!
