Take A Bite Out of "Eat! Vancouver" Festival
|Vancouver Food + Cooking Festival celebrates its "baker's dozen" anniversary this year, and if you like food you'll want to clear your calendar. Expanded to a week-long feasting frenzy (April 26 to May 3), EAT! dishes up an enticing lineup of seminars ranging from latte art tutorials (led by Vancouver-based coffeehouse JJ Bean) to an intimate baking session in Jackie Ellis's (Beaucoup Bakery) home kitchen; a powerful dinner series curated by all-star chefs Andrea Carlson (Burdock & Co.) and Connie DeSousa (Calgary's Charcut Roast House); the colourful Canadian Flavours Gala, hosted by top Canadian chefs whose tantalizing treats are paired with Naramata Winery's spring collection; and more than 30 additional culinary events. |
The edible affair culminates with EAT! Vancouver at BC Place Stadium, a three-day expo featuring chef-led demos; a pavilion showcasing "affordable luxury" artisanal products; and tasters of globally influenced food, wines and beer.
