CWT Canada Hosts Successful Leisure Travel Conference In Mexico

More than100 people gathered at the Grand Velas Riviera Maya luxury resort, as Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) Canada held its 18th annual leisure travel conference, this year under the theme 'Your Road Map to Success.'

With a combination of business sessions, a trade show, sponsored cocktail and dinner parties and a strong lineup of keynote speakers, the gathering was designed to shed light on the latest industry trends and offer expert insights on how to inspire clients to fulfill their travel dreams.

"The conference helped to connect with our associate base, franchise partners and managers to set business strategies," said Sherry Saunders, senior vice president and general manager of CWT Canada and North American Leisure. "We are extremely proud of the effort and opportunities we were able to provide to attendees this year to help grow their businesses and position them for success moving into the New Year."

The conference focused on the challenges that come with running a travel business -- including market trends, the impact of effective storytelling, doing business with millennials, creating productive office spaces and utilizing social media.

Conference speakers included travel author and TED Talks speaker Robin Esrock; Steve Waugh, Director of account service at Giants & Gentlemen Advertising; and Gary Gzik, CEO of BizXcel.
