Carlson Wagonlit Travel Canada "Gets More Going" During Fall CWT Training Academy
|Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT) Canada recently hosted a series of CWT Training Academies for over 600 owners, managers and counsellors. Executive leaders Louise Gardiner, senior director, Leisure Travel, and Nick Polifemi, senior director, Marketing, kicked off the conference with a keynote address focusing on Getting More with CWT; more technology, more value adds, more promotions, more quality service experiences and more RBC Rewards customers. |
"We focused our Training Academy on the journey of the customer, and provided interactive breakout sessions that would assist our network in providing an end-to-end customer solution that not only provided CWT exclusive product training with our key supplier partners but also introduced and leveraged our technology applications to drive programs such as our fall Book & Win contest, cwtHolidayMaker and Social Media channels. These initiatives will continue to deliver enhanced client benefits and traveller experience while allowing the counsellor to increase sales. We feel this is a win-win direction for our owners and managers," said Polifemi.
Bruce Poon Tip, founder of G Adventures received accolades from the crowd as he presented his views on sustainable travel and how to create a movement. CWT is planning on partnering with the Planeterra Foundation in 2013 to participate in one of their ongoing philanthropic global activities.
An awards ceremony was held to celebrate top performers. Cecilia Rossos of CWT Victor Travel in Concord, Ontario took home the Associate of the Year award while CWT Ottawa managed by Helen James, was awarded LLB Branch of the Year. A beach party including live band and dance party rounded out the evening of celebration.
"We were proud to support our leisure support managers across the country (Vancouver, Toronto and Mont-Ste Anne) to meet with our network one on one," commented Gardiner. "This was a great benefit not only to our owners and managers but also to our preferred supplier partners who all had the opportunity to build key relationships throughout the weekend.
