Stage and Screen Travel Services Opens Manhattan, New York Office
|Stage and Screen Travel Services has become the first Australian-owned, entertainment travel specialist to establish operations in New York, following the opening of a new office in Manhattan on 1 June.|
The company has debuted in New York to service the growing film, television, fashion, theatre and music markets throughout the US east coast. It will provide specialised travel management services ranging from air, hotel and car reservations, to freight logistics, travel policy management, VIP and group travel, reporting and expense management.
The new office is the latest step in Stage and Screen's expansion in North America, where it has achieved early success in the key markets of Los Angeles and Toronto.
Established in Australia in 1995 and acquired by Flight Centre Limited in 1999, Stage and Screen has secured a footing in the North American market by offering competitive entertainment travel rates and a flexible, boutique-style service.
Stage and Screen's former Melbourne-based team leader, Lyndal Hunt, will spearhead the company's New York operations.
"This expansion has been fuelled by our success in North America over recent years, and our growing client base in LA and Toronto will create immediate business opportunities for us in the Big Apple," Lyndal said.
"New York provides the perfect fit with our core markets of music, film and entertainment, and now that the Stage and Screen brand has gained traction in other parts of the region, we've created the perfect launch pad for our business on the east coast.
"Our New York office will service existing US clients that have east coast travel needs, while targeting new business opportunities with our niche service.
"We're very excited to be expanding in the US at a time when there's increased demand for the specialist services Stage and Screen provides," Lyndal said.
In addition to its North American operations, Stage and Screen's growing international network includes offices in Australia and New Zealand. The company is also planning to open a second Los Angeles office within the next 12 months.
