2010 San Francisco Planner's Guide Now Available

 The new edition of the San Francisco Professional Travel Planner's Guide, published by the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau, is now available free of charge for travel agents, tour operators and other travel professionals.

Completely redesigned and updated, the 120-page guide offers listings for more than 1,100 members of the SFCVB, San Francisco's official visitor promotion agency. An essential planning tool for San Francisco-bound clients, the guide includes several new features:
- "Meet the Experts," which profiles the Bureau's Tourism team and their various markets and areas of expertise.
- A completely revamped itinerary section, which offers suggestions ranging from culinary, adventures to family- and student-friendly tracts.
- Profiles on 65 points of interest keyed to a map of San Francisco to help guide clients around San Francisco .
- A long-range calendar of events through March 2011.
- FAQs about San Francisco including how to secure a marriage license, weather and wardrobe tips.
- "New and notable" highlights and prompts for additional information on the Bureau's Web site.

An extensive section for motor coach operators offers tips on loading and unloading areas as well as short-term parking information for points of interest throughout the city and updates on road closures affecting Doyle Drive, the main approach to the Golden Gate Bridge . More than 80 sightseeing companies are profiled including details on FIT tours ranging from a ghost tour of San Francisco's famed Chinatown to a trek to some of San Francisco 's famed markets and gourmet shops. Detailed information on hotel accommodations and restaurant banquet facilities in and around San Francisco is also included.

Among the guide's other popular features are a foldout map of San Francisco and the Bay Area and a section titled "Beyond the Bridge" listing services and attractions outside of San Francisco including the nearby wine country.
